KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar has foiled an attempt to smuggle Iranian diesel in Jeewani and arrested three smugglers.
Sources told Customs Today that Assistant Collector Shafiq Ahmed received a credible information regarding the smuggling of Iranian diesel. He constituted a raiding party which intercepted a launch and seized 42,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel. The market value of seized diesel is Rs 2.2 million.
The names of the arrested accused are Shah Zaman, Qayyum, and Dildar. Sources said that Customs Gawadar during a recent past also conducted different raids against smugglers and seized Iranian diesel.
