Customs Gawadar recovers 120kg hashish

KARACHI: Customs authorities have seized a huge quantity of hashish worth millions of rupees during a crackdown in Gwadar.

Sources told Customs Today that chief collector enforcement received information about some smuggling attempts after which he constituted a customs team.

The customs team started checking process on Gwadar Road and intercepted a Mazda truck and recovered 120 kilograms of fine quality hashish. The Customs team also arrested a suspect who was identified as Ghafoor Meerani and registered a case against him.

It is pertinent to mention here that Customs Gwadar has successfully foiled some smuggling attempts in recent past.
