Customs collects Rs 30m through auction of non-duty paid vehicles, goods‏

ISLAMABAD: Custom Collectorate collected Rs 30 million through auction of confiscated vehicles and other miscellaneous goods. The auction gets an encouraging response.

The auction was held under the supervision of Assistant Collector Tahir Khattack. A large number of people from Rawalpindi, Islamabad and KPK participated in the auction. The vehicles and goods worth above Rs 40 million were offered for auction.

Assistant Collector told Customs Today that non-duty paid vehicles, and different lots of goods were set for auction.

The people from Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities participated in the auction, the activity was very fruitful to get revenue by selling confiscated vehicles and other goods on profitable price.

There were different types of vehicle that were listed in auction i.e. Toyota Corolla cars, Isuzu 3 door, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, Toyota double cabin, Pajero, Nissan, Volxwagon, Toyota Hilux, Nissan sports car, Prado, Land rover pickup, Toyota Hilux double cabin, Mitsubishi Jeep, Honda Civic .Assistant Collector Thair Khattak  said that out of Rs30 million of total revenue, Rs28 million was generated through auction of non-duty paid vehicles and the rest of Rs2 million was earned by 5 lots of goods.
