Customs generates Rs8.21m more CD than allocated target

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad earned Rs8.21million more Customs Duty than the assigned target of initial 15 days of February FY2016-17.

According to Collector MCC Islamabad Dr. Arslan Subetgeen, the collectorate received Rs226.00million Customs Duty whereas the collectorate was assigned Rs218.00million Customs Duty during the 1st of February to 15th of February. The collectorate collected Rs194.01million during the same period of previous Financial Year FY2015-16.

The collectorate has been assigned Rs407.00million Customs Duty for February FY2016-17. The collector is optimistic to achieve the assigned target with surplus amount under the same head.

The collectorate generated Rs291.95million Customs Duty (CD) from 1st to 15th January of the Financial Year 2016-17 against the assigned target of Rs216.32million whereas the MCC collected Rs236.46million Customs Duty during the initial 15 days of December of Financial Year 2016-17.

The collectorate surpassed the assigned target of first 15 days with the achievement of 117% during December FY16-17 whereas the MCC was assigned the target of Rs210million for the first 15 days under head of CD. The MCC got Rs158.11million Customs Duty during the same period of Financial Year 2015-16.
