LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive team deputed at General Post Office (GPO) foiled a bid to smuggle four kilograms of heroin worth Rs40 million.
Sources told Customs Today that the heroin was tactfully hidden in the utensil and was destined for the United Kingdom.
Collector Preventive Jamil Nasir Khan directed to register a case against the persons who booked the consignment. Sources said investigations are still underway till the filing of this report.
It is necessary to mention here that Collector Customs Preventive Jamil Nasir Khan directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero-tolerance policy against smuggling. He directed that anyone who found involved in narcotics smuggling should be dealt with iron hands.
