Customs House, ASO to remain operational for 15 days

LAHORE: Custom House as well as Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) shall remain open for official work as per instructions circulated by the federal government from time to time with effect from 24.03.2020 for next fifteen days.

According to the details, keeping in view the current emergency situation due to spread of Corona Virus causin8COVID-19 disease and in line with the policy of Federal Government issued vide Circular No. 14/2/2020-A-I dated 19″ March, 2020 by Ministry of Interior and Circular No. F.No. 1(2)S&M/2020 dated 20.03.2020 issued by Federal Board of Revenue, all imports, export, passenger traffic and allied functions provided by Pakistan Customs being essential service shall continue for the concerned stake holders.

Accordingly, it is circulated for information of all concemed that all field offices of Pakistan Customs (imports/exports/passenger traffic, allied functions, all dry ports) at Customs House as well as Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) outfits shall remain open for official work as per instructions circulated by the Federal Government from time to time with effect from 24.03.2020 for next fifteen days.

All field formations are advised to make strategies as per Ministry of Interior and Board’s circulars mentioned above within their own Collectorates/ Directorates.

In order to  un-hindered movement to and from their work places, all Customs staff, personnel are directed to carry their service cards/ any departmental identification papers with them to answer any query of the Law enforcement agency in wake of lockdown.

In case of any problem, all Customs staff/ personnel may contact the Deputy Collector (HQRS)of their respective Collectorate/ Directorate, being focal person, for resolution of their grievances, 1 any.5.All the stakeholders are advised in their own interest to avoid personal contact with the Customs staff and should avail the online facilities lie WeBOC, Payment through PD Account, E payment tor tneclearance of their consignment/ cargo.

This circular shall be amended from time to time keeping in view the exigency of situation6.This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
