KARACHI: Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation ( I and I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Hyderabad has foiled an attempt to smuggle oil worth Rs 7.7 million.
According to the sources, Deputy Director Customs during random checking on Hyderabad Toll Plaza intercepted a suspicious vehicle which was loaded with 60,000 cartons of smuggled oil and arrested three suspects who were identified as Haider Khan, Waseem Kazami, and Syed Zaidi.
The sources further said that these cartons of oil were on the way to Hyderabad and interior Sindh. Customs lodged a case and started further investigations.
