Customs I&I confiscates NDP vehicles radiators & batteries worth Rs6.50m

QUETTA: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated  large number of vehicles imported radiator and batteries worth Rs 6.50 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Irfan Javed received a tip-off that some smugglers are trying to smuggle a large number of vehicles imported radiator and batteries from Quetta.

He immediately constituted a raiding team. The team In-charge, Tuffail Warraich and others enhanced surveillance on the Quetta highway road and started searching of vehicles.

During the search operation, the team intercepted a Mazda truck bearing registration no: QL-0228 which was going out of the city.

During the checking, he customs team recovered 300 imported vehicles radiators and 80 batteries worth Rs 6.50 million.

The customs team seized the all items and arrested 2 smugglers. The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Quetta registered an FIR against the smuggler and start investigations.

Earlier, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation confiscated a huge quantity of mobile phones, auto parts worth Rs 15 million.
