Customs I&I Enforcement examines multiple cargo containers

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (Enforcement) has expedited the scrutinizing process at all the three terminals of the sea ports.

According to the source, on the directives of the higher authorities the Directorate Customs Intelligence and Investigation (Enforcement) has expedited the scrutinizing processes of the already examined multiple cargo containers.

The shift came after the Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad Khan visited the regional office last week.

The officers of the Directorate Customs Intelligence and Investigation (Enforcement) deputed at Pakistan International container Terminal (PICT), Karachi International container Terminal (KICT) and Qasim International Containers Terminal (QICT) are directed to keep vigilant round the clock.

During the meeting chaired by the Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad Khan here on last week it was directed to the officers to stop the mis-declaration and tax evasion as well as to enhance revenue recoveries.
