Customs I&I foils bid to smuggle goods worth Rs142.1m

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I has foiled a bid to smuggle huge quantity of smuggled goods and vehicles valuing Rs142.1 million.

Sources said that information was passed through Director Khalil Yousufani to Additional Director Rana Tasleem and Deputy Director Amjad Rajpar regarding movement of smuggled goods.

It is necessary to mention here that during the outgoing week, Anti-Smuggling Organization seized three vehicles including a Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Aqua and Honda Civic Reborn car. Other goods include cloth, tiles and other miscellaneous goods. The value of the seized goods comes to Rs142.1 million.

Further investigations are still in progress till the filing of this report.
