Customs I&I impounds 5,105 prohibited Boostin injections

KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&) Information impounded 5,105 pieces of Boostin injection near Regent Plaza Hotel, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi.

Sources told Customs Today that Additional Director Nausheen Riaz constituted anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Deputy Director Inamullah Wazir, who approached the spot where “Boostin Injections” were found which were tactfully wrapped with plastic sheets, whereas, one person namely Muhammad Ali looked after the same at the spot.

On query from the said person namely Muhammad Ali in presence of witnesses pertaining to the aforesaid placed foreign origin Boostin Injections, to which, the said person claimed the ownership of the said foreign origin Boostin Injections and disclosed that his partner namely Mustafa Sikandar son of Muhammad Sikandar handed over the aforesaid foreign origin Boostin Injections to him.

He informed that Mustafa organizes the whole system of smuggling of the injections from different countries to Pakistan. Muhammad All informed that he supplies the injections to vets and other persons. On demand, the said person/owner of placed recovered goods namely Muhammad Ali could not answer satisfactorily and failed to produce any relevant legal documents in support of lawful import/possession.

An FIR is lodged and investigations are still underway till the filing of this report.
