Customs I&I impounds air-filters, LEDs near Sagian Bridge

LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) team seized millions of rupees illegally imported air filters and auto parts near Sagian Bridge.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Usman Tariq received credible information about smuggling of goods.

He immediately constituted a team which raided Al Raheem Goods Transport ‘adda’. The sources said that the customs authorities impounded non-customs paid goods from a Mazda. The goods were being transported to Rawalpindi. Sources told that market value of seized goods is Rs 5 million.

It is necessary to mention here that customs teams are using all available resources to curb smuggling attempts in the region. Due to effective strategy there is marginable decrease being witnessed in smuggling attempts in the region.
