Customs I&I impounds NDP Honda Civic near Metro Station

ISLAMABAD: Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) impounds non duty paid Honda Civic car on Thursday during special checking.

According to details, Deputy Director Intelligence and Investigation has received information that a non-duty paid Honda Civic car bearing registration no. LWF-0348 is parked near Ibne-Sena Metro Station Islamabad upon which the staff of special car cell of Customs I&I rush to the spot and found the car parked. While observing the customs staff the driver of the car abandoned and fled away from the scene.

After examining the chemical treatment of the chassis number of the Honda Civic bearing registration no. LWF-0348, the subject has been revealed that its chassis number plate has been found cut and another iron piece bearing number NFBES55E25R132188 has been welded on its place.

Further to details, Honda Civic car has been declared as smuggled and unclaimed and impounded under section 168 of Customs Act.1969 and section 3(1) of Import and Export (Control) Act. 1950.
