Customs I&I Lahore sepoy blackmails cargo worker

LAHORE: A sepoy of Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation(I&I) has been collecting money from a cargo worker by blackmailing him in the name of top officers, sources told Customs Today.

The owner of the cargo office at the Shubra Hotel has paid Rs20,000 to the Customs Intelligence sepoy by being blackmailed by the sepoy, a CCTV footage of the Customs Intelligence sepoy has exhibited.

The spoy has been caught red-handed twice before taking money from the owner of the same cargo company, and produced before a special magistrate, along with the bribe money, the trader claimed.  In the footage, it can be seen that the spoy first was sitting in the cargo office and talking to the affected trader in the office and later he was holding money while leaving, the traders claimed.

Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Asad Raza Rizvi could not be reached for his version despite repeated attempts.
