LAHORE: Customs Investigation and Intelligence (I&I) Lahore seized contraband goods and articles worth millions of rupees being illegally transported in Lahore on Friday.
According to official sources, the I&I seized impounded heavy vehicles loaded with scrapes, soaps, Iranian ceramics tiles, cloth and other illegally imported items.
I&I teams raided the vehicles on the instructions of Additional Director Mohsin Rafique under the supervision of superintendents Nasir Minhas and confiscated the vehicles from various parts of the city.
The illegal import of contraband goods and articles were being smuggled from Quetta and Peshawar.
The official sources told Customs Today that cases have been registered against the accused person and investigations are under way in this regards.
