Lahore: Customs Intelligence seizes smuggled goods worth millions of rupees

LAHORE: Customs Investigation &Intelligence Lahore has seized illegally imported iron, curtain cloth and expired soft drinks worth millions of rupees from a bus coming from Peshawar to Lahore.
I&I’s anti-smuggling team raided the bus on information near Babu Sabu Interchange. Official sources said that the contraband goods and articles were being smuggled hiding in a passenger bus.

Sources informed Customs Today that the expired drinks were to be sold in local market altering its date.

They said that the illegally imported iron, cloth, drinks and other items of millions of rupees were the ownership of two accused namely as Pisal Khan and Ali Khan.

Anti smuggling team included Superintendent Nasir Minhas and Inspectors Muhammad Hussain and Zulfiqar Ali conducted the operation on the instruction of Additional Director Mohsin Rafique and recovered smuggled items.
