Customs I&I starts forensic test of truck used in smuggling

LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has started forensic test of the vehicles being used for transportation of the smuggled good and articles.

Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Intelligence and Investigation authorities have started forensic test of the truck that brought illegally dry fruits to Lahore from Quetta. The sources said that the truck being used for the smuggling purposes may also be tampered or non-duty paid.

It is pertinent to mention hare that the FBR chairman Shabar Zaidi has instructed all the directorates and collectorates to get forensic test of the vehicles being used in smuggling of illegal items. Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Sadia Munib also directed to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling.

The Customs I&I Lahore following the instructions started forensic test of the vehicles seized during the transportation of illegal items and articles.
