Customs I&I to hold auction of non-duty-paid vehicles on 25th

LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigations will hold auction of 22 non-customs paid luxury cars worth millions of rupees on July 25, it was reported.

According to the details, the luxury cars that would be put on for auction included the cars which were seized by the Customs Intelligence and Investigations anti smuggling teams during different operations against owners of non duty paid vehicles.

The vehicles would be auctioned on July 25 under the supervision of Deputy Director of Custom Intelligence & Investigations Ali Zeb Khan and others.

The vehicles which will be presented for auction included Mercedes Benz car, DGA 2003, Mercedes Benz LE 190 ICT 1997, Mercedes Benz, BoX 094 2004, Toyota Premio JK / 834 / ISD, 2004, Toyota Progress car  DGA 27 1999, Honda Accord AG 2003 AGQ 064, Toyota Premio car  ALK 932 KHI, BMW car, LEH 13 2317, Toyota Premio car, RU 222, 2002, BMW car, BEC 702 Sindh 2003, Toyota Crown car, BDT 798 2004, Honda Accord AQH 282, 2002 and BMW car 7451 LMZ 86.

In addition to that 9nine Mark X cars of various models would also be put for auction. These cars could not be auctioned due to unreasonably determined heavy prices on the auction held during May.

It is necessary to mention here that Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation is optimistic that they generate a reasonable revenue through auction of these non duty paid vehicles.
