Customs impounds 18 vehicles worth Rs 10m in April

ISLAMABAD: Under the supervision of Collector Arslan Subuctageen, the Model Customs Collecotarate impounded 18 vehicles worth Rs 10.8 million during April, 2016.

Colector Arslan told Customs Today that anti-smuggling drive was in full swing, adding that the Islamabad Customs squad under the supervision of Assistant Collector Tahir Iqbal Khattak conducted various raids against the non-duty paid vehicles.

The officials impounded different vehicles, including Mazda Trucks, passenger buses, Toyota Hiace and other vehicles worth Rs 10.8 million.

The collector added that noose has been tightened around the smugglers by establishing check posts at roads mostly used by the smugglers for non-duty paid vehicles.
