Customs impounds container loaded with auto-parts

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office impounded a container of imported auto parts from Sadiqabad Region in an anti-smuggling operation.

Multan Customs Intelligence and Investigation has captured the container of 40 feet on a tip-off. The container was cleared from Karachi Port Qasim. The total worth of the loaded auto parts was almost Rs08million but the custom duty paid on the import consignment was less than its actual customs duty. The importer had paid almost Rs2.2million and remaining duty of Rs5million was evaded.
