Customs impounds non-duty paid vehicles, goods worth Rs 18.55m during 3rd week of September

ISLAMABAD: Customs Collectorate anti-smuggling squad and car cell impounded eight offending and six non duty paid (NDP) vehicles and different goods worth Rs 18.55 million during the third week of September 2016-17.

Collector Dr Arslan told Customs Today that the car cell and the anti-smuggling squad showed outstanding performance during the third week of September.

Dr Arslan said that car cell seized six non duty paid vehicles from different parts of Islamabad worth Rs 5,260,000.

He said that ASO seized offending vehicle and seized huge quantity of different type of smuggled goods from different parts during said period under worth of Rs 7,200,000. He added that anti smuggling squad seized foreign origin fabric in different raids worth 2,213,564.

Collector Dr. Arsalan said that anti smuggling squad also seized food grains, auto parts, black tea and other miscellaneous goods during first two weeks September.
