Quetta: Customs impounds three trucks of tea, motor oil involving Rs 4.7m tax

QUETTA: The Customs Intelligence and FC made a joint seizure of three trucks cleared from Customs House Taftan.

One one of the trucks was loaded with mis-declared tea. As per the TP document, the truck had 22 tonnes of tea but physically the truck had more than 48 tonnes of tea.

Two more trucks cleared from Customs House Taftan had motor oil but the importers had mis-declared goods as wax oil. These three trucks have caused a loss of duties and taxes to the tune of Rs 4.7 million.

Legal action is yet to be initiated in this regard.
