ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Rawalpindi and Islamabad has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court, challenging the acceptance of the accused’s bail in TCS and Smart Zone smuggling case. Advocate Amin Feroz has filed the appeal on behalf of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation.

Chief Executive Officer TCS Saqib Hamdani, Regional Manager Logistic Rawalpindi Ghazanfer Gul and Chief Executive Officer Smart Zone Shakir Ullah are made as party in this petition. The petition said that the TCS and Smart Zone had jointly involved in the smuggling of non-duty paid electronic items. Smart Zone is still unable to provide the evidence against the legal import of goods caught from the TCS Rawalpindi warehouse.
