MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office has detained two oil tankers on the suspicion of smuggling.
According to details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation teams carried out an operation in Sadiqabad region against the smuggled oil tankers. The oil tankers were filled with High Speed Diesel (HSD) and were intercepted near Punjab Sindh border. The oil tankers were taken into custody by the customs team.
The drivers of the oil tankers submitted the import documents on demand of customs staff. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation team has decided to conduct laboratory examination of the HSD. Further investigations are in progress.
