Customs Intelligence Director Asif Marghoob vows to curb smuggling

KARACHI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi Director Asif Marghoob Siddiqui has vowed to uproot the menace of smuggling from the region.

He said this while chairing a meeting held at the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Important decisions were made to curb smuggling and eliminate the black sheep from the department.

A strategy of zero tolerance was also developed against smugglers and their accomplices, with a view to bringing them to book.

Customs Today also learnt that Customs Intelligence Director General Lutfullah Virk may also visit the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Karachi soon to hold a meeting. The meeting will reportedly review the progress made by the regional Customs Intelligence and Investigation wing. A report in this regard will also be presented in the meeting.
