Customs Intelligence earns Rs 16.35m through auction of non-duty paid luxury vehicles

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has recovered Rs 16.35 million revenues from the auction of non-customs paid luxury cars.

The directorate of Customs I&I Lahore held auction of the impounded vehicles, seized goods and articles worth millions of rupees the other day and 12 luxury vehicles.

As per details, the directorate auctioned Toyota Lexus car LEC-9-2202, model 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser APL-4 model 2002, Toyota Primio car MN-12-739, 2005, Toyota Surf BC-4322 model 2000, Toyota Mark-X car LEB-9-28002, Toyota Prmio car AXY-456 2005, Toyota Mark-X car, NS-720, model 2005, Toyota Premio car RU-222 2002, Toyota Mark-X car BZ-836/isd 2004, Honda Civic car IDL-0954, 2001, Toyota Prius  car AXZ-452 model 2004 and Toyota X Corolla car Z-356/ISB.

The collectoarte sold 12 car out of 22 while ten cars will be put in next auction. Besides  other seized non customs paid goods and article were also put for auction that include Siemens brand electric generator tube, foreign origin used generator 350 KVA, 675 kilograms of plastic sheet reels, ammonium coated plastic reels 726 kilograms, plastic aluminum sheet rolls, FG Wilson power diesel generator, used tyres of different brands, DVD Kingston, Windo ACs Skywood indoor and out-door unit split AC Mitsubishi brand, made in Thailand, mother board PCB remote central power video, Iranian tiles tyres of cars, medical equipment, frames fitted with HD lights and other miscellaneous items.

However, the goods and articles could not be sold or auctioned only cars were the centre of the attention of the car dealer. The Customs I&I Lahore held the auction on 22nd at the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Lahore head office.

The auction was under taken on the directives of Director Saud Imran Ahmad under the supervision of Deputy director Saad Atta Rabbani while Superintendent Amjad Khaliq and Intelligence Officer Abdul Hamed were also present on the occasion. A large number of people participated in the auction and gave bids.
