KARACHI: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-Enforcement has foiled an attempt to smuggle 250 cell phones worth Rs 5 million on Super Highway. The officials arrested a suspect and seized the cell phones.
According to the source, the Customs Intelligence conducted a raid on Super Highway and arrested a smuggler and recovered 250 valuable cell phones of different brands from him. The value of the cell phones is more than Rs 5 million.
The officers of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation have lodged the case against the smuggler whereas the investigation has also been started against the criminal.
The source also informed that the officers of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation have started carrying out operation across city to bust the companions of the arrested smugglers.
