Customs Intelligence Faisalabad takes NDP Hilux Surf into possession

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation impounded a non-duty-paid Toyota Hilux Surf. The market value of the said vehicle is Rs03million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs01.6million.

Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Intelligence team received a tip-off through Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat regarding the non-duty-paid vehicles which are plying on the roads in Faisalabad.

He immediately formed a raiding team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Intelligence Officers Irashad Ali, Mansoor Nasir, Mohsin Raza Shah, Sepoys Zeeshan Farooq, Muhammad Shahbaz, Naveed Ahmed and Abuzar Siddique.

The Customs Intelligence team prevented a Toyota Hilux Surf bearing registration No: CD-3536 Sindh, Model 1983, near Shahkot Adda Johar Faisalabad.

The intelligence team asked the accused person, identified as Faiz Rasool, to produce the legal documents regarding the possession of Toyota car, but he failed to do so. The higher authority took into possession the vehicle and registered a case against the owner of the Hilux Surf.
