FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigations has earned Rs 5.05 million through auction of goods which were seized during anti-smuggling activities.
The Customs Intelligence held an auction of 13 different lots where four lots out of 13 attracted suitable prices. While remaining 9 lots were rejected by the bidders. The Customs Intelligence also recovered Rs 2,78,981 successfully through duty and taxes which were paid by Qaiser Shahzad and Mirza Ijaz Baig on Rani juice.
Customs authorities sold a lot comprising foreign origin blankets worth Rs 675000, Toyota Corolla car bearings registration no. AAH-244 (Quetta), Hino truck and different goods worth Rs 362000.
Deputy Director Muhammad Riaz Hussain supervised the auction process to ensure transparency along with Intelligence Officer Mansoor, and Muhammad Saleem Khan.
