Customs Intelligence generates Rs968,000 through auction in November

FAISALABAD: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I), regional office auction committee has conducted auction of seized smuggled vehicles and others different goods after permission of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and generated revenue of Rs 968,000 during the month of November.

The chairman of auction committee Muhammad Riaz told Customs Today that various parties participated in the bid of auction but only one party gave attracted prices.

He said that during different anti smuggling activities Customs Intelligence has seized smuggled items under the transit trade road from GT Road, M1, M2, M3 Faisalabad, Sargodha and Sumandri and shifted the same to State Warehouse.

The intelligence authority has registered the cases of seized goods and referred the cases to the adjudication department for proceeding. After conclusion of proceeding of case the court announced judgment in the favor of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

It is necessary to mention here that Customs intelligence is already expedited their efforts to generate more revenue to meet the assigned target of current Fiscal Year 2016-17. The auction was held at Customs Intelligence an Investigation office situated in Amin Town Canal Road. Faisalabad Deputy Director Muhammad Riaz supervised the auction. He said that auction amount will make a cause to strengthen the economy of country.
