Customs Intelligence given vehicles to strengthen anti-narcotics drive

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has handed over seven double cabin vehicles to the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Intelligence in order to strengthen its anti-narcotics operations in the country.

Customs Intelligence Additional Director Muhammad Saleem told Customs Today that the allocated vehicles will be distributed among the regional offices as per advice of the FBR.

He informed that US Embassy gave 36 double cabin vehicles, 37 bikes worth Rs 8 million to the FBR during last month, adding that the board has released seven vehicles to the Customs Intelligence.

Additional Director Saleem said that the said vehicles will be given to the regional directorates located in Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, while a vehicle will be give to the Customs Intelligence Headquarters, Islamabad.
