Customs Intelligence seizes auto parts, steel rolls, Toyota Vitz worth Rs 10m

LAHORE: The Directorate Investigation and Intelligence, Customs Lahore has seized steel rolls, auto parts, besides impounding a vehicle, Toyota Vitz with total value of Rs 10 million in two different raids.

Official sources on Wednesday said that the Customs Investigation and Intelligence intercepted a truck coming from Quetta loaded with steel rolls. The team asked the driver to show the legal documents regarding the import of the said items. The steel rolls were being attempted to smuggle to Misri Shah, Lahore, it was said.

The sources further said that the anti smuggling teams also impounded a truck loaded with auto parts near Harbanspura.

Meanwhile, the ASO team also impounded an illegally imported Toyota Vitz car near Thokar Niaz Baig in a raid, it was told.
