Customs Intelligence impounds Toyota Surf worth Rs 1.5m

SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Gujranwala, has impounded Toyota Surf worth Rs 1.5 million on customs duty default.

Reportedly, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Deputy Director Zainab Mehmood deployed Intelligence Officer Mian Muhammad Yousaf on Sialkot -Narowal road to check non-customs paid vehicles.

The intelligence officer told Customs Today that he was checking vehicles along with his team and intercepted a vehicle Toyota Surf bearing No. STA-8096. The team asked the owner of the vehicle named Rana Muhammad Saleem about documents of vehicle but the owner remained fail to show documents about customs clearance. Therefore, the team impounded the vehicle and shifted it to the intelligence office. A case has been registered as per the Customs Law.
