Customs Intelligence impounds Toyota Vitz

SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation team has impounded a non-duty paid vehicle at Sambrial during the checking of vehicles.
Deputy Director MS. Zainab Mehmood instructed Superintendent Muhammad Rauf Farooqi to constitute a special team to curb smuggling in the region. The superintendent constituted a team under the supervision of Investigation Officer Syed Majid Raza. The Investigation Officer along with his team comprising constables Sajid Raz, Mubashir, Boota, Naeem etc started the checking of vehicles on Grand Trunk (GT) Road. During the checking, the team intercepted a car Toyota Vitz, which was playing on roads without payment of customs duty. The team asked driver Rehmat Ali about documents but he told the team that owner of the car was an industrialist.

The team impounded the car and released driver after proper interrogation. The team will send notice to the owner of the car.
