LAHORE: Customs Investigation and Intelligence Lahore Monday seized items worth millions of rupees being illegally transported in Lahore.
According to official sources, intelligence has impounded four heavy vehicles loaded with scrape, soaps, Iranian ceramics tiles, cloth and other illegally imported items.
Intelligence teams raided the vehicles on the instructions of Additional Director Mohsin Rafique under the supervision of Superintendents Nasir Minhas and impounded the vehicles from various parts around the city.
The contrabands were being smuggled from Quetta and Peshawar into Lahore, while these attempts were foiled because of the timely action of intelligence.
Sources told Customs Today that cases have been registered against the accused and investigations are under way in this regards.
