Customs intelligence impounds Prado valued Rs08.5m

ISLAMABAD: Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Federal Board of Revenue Rawalpindi impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Model 2002, worth Rs8.5 million.

On a tip-off, the staff of the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation FBR Rawalpindi intercepted the said Prado with a registration plate No. LL-7723 (ICT Islamabad) having chassis No: VZ1121 0001871, Engine No. 5VZ FE (3378 cc), near KFC, Saddar Bazaar Rawalpindi. One Aqib Musa S/o Muammad Musa r/o Panjmiral, Shankiyari, tehsil and district, Mansehra was driving the vehicle. On demand, the driver and possessor of the vehicle failed to produce any evidence regarding the legal import or lawful possession of vehicle. On scrutiny of the record of Excise and Taxation Office and Motor Registration Authority Islamabad, no data was found against the impounded vehicle.
