Customs Intelligence issues appointment letters to successful candidates

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has sent appointment letters to the successful candidates who were selected in interview for the posts of sepoys, drivers and wireless operators, sources said on Friday.

The directorate sent letters to 28 successful candidates for the posts of sepoys, three candidates for the posts of drivers and two candidates for the post of wireless operators.

The sources said that the candidates were offered the post on the same terms and conditions which have been offered by Collectorate of Customs Preventive, the sources informed.

The official sources said that all the candidates have been selected by the Departmental Selection Committee on temporary basis.

The sepoys have been appointed of the period of one year whicch is extendable under Civil Servant Act 1973, the sources said.

The newly selected sepoys, drivers and wireless operators were informed that they will have to appear in physical test and undertake training for the completion of probation period, the sources said , adding that in case the candidates fails to pass physical test and combat training they will be terminated from the job.

The candidates were told that they can be appointed at anywhere in Pakistan.  They were told that they will be governed under the relevant rules of federal government as applicable to the officers of your category in respect of all matters of service.

The new appointees were also informed that their jobs can be terminated in accordance with section 11 of the of the Services Act.
