Customs Intelligence lodges FIR against mobiles smuggler

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has lodged an FIR against ten suspects involved in mobile smuggling case. The accused namely Zaheer Khan Ameen, Junaid Khan, Mobile World, Awais Qauoom, Selecto Mobile, Javed Khan, Kevin Lu (Amin Town ) Zain Aftab, MI Store, Air link Communication  Katchery Bazar Faisalabad. The market value of smuggled items is Rs 20.6 million.

According to details, the intelligence team raided under the supervision of Superintendent Muhammad Tahir qbal consisting Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir. The team intercepted cargo van of M/s TCS Pvt Limited bearing registration no: LES-14-338 which was signaled to stop and recovers foreign origin smuggled mobiles (823-Nos ), on different brand and models.

During inquiry the custom team asked the accused person namely Pervaiz Iqbal son of Malik Sher Muhammad Awan to show legal documents and invoices of import item but they remained failed to show any relevant documents. After their failure Customs Intelligence team seized the Smuggled Mobiles according to Customs Rules and lodged an FIR against nominated accused person under section U/S 2(s) 16 and 18 of the customs act 1969 punishable under section 156(1)89 and 178 ibid.
