FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has registered five cases during the last week of February. The items which are involved in these cases are valued around Rs 14.7 million.
Sources informed Customs Today that Customs Intelligence teams conducted various raids and seized foreign origin Hino truck No. JU-2665, a trailor bearing registration No. TLW-676, grey textile fabric, red chilli seeds, auto parts, zeera, black peppers and other mixed items.
Sources said that during checking process by a team of cutoms intellgeince which includes Zahid Saleem Mirza (SIO), Main Muhammad Yousaf and Farzand Ali (IO) Tajamal Hussain, Nuhammad Musaddiq Ahmad sepoys asked the owners, drivers of these vehicles failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of these items. After their failure customs authorities seized the goods and forward the cases to customs adjudication for further process.
