Customs Intelligence seizes non-customs paid goods in different raids

LAHORE: The Customs Investigation and Intelligence has seized illegally imported mobiles, dry fruits and engine oil worth Rs 40 million.

Sources said that, on the directions of Director Rubab Sikandar, the anti-smuggling teams of the Customs Intelligence and Investigations undertook various crackdowns and seized non-customs paid goods.

The customs I&I team seized 727 Q Mobiles from a Suzuki Pick-Up LES/326 on the Ghazi Road while the same team seized another 968 smuggled mobile phones from another vehicle playing on Mall Road.

The team also intercepted a truck at the Raiwind Road and seized non customs paid mobile accessories worth millions of rupees.

In another operation, the Customs Intelligence and Investigations confiscated dry fruits, beauty kits, oil engine millions of rupees from Shahdara.

The Customs I&I registering cases against the accused parties has initiated investigations. The crackdowns have been started in the city following the directions of Customs Intelligence & Investigations Director Rubab Sikandar due to which deterrence against the smuggling has taken place to some extent.
