Customs Intelligence seizes non duty paid cigarettes, smoking flavor

FAISALABAD: The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation has seized non duty paid cigarettes, smoking flavor worth Rs800,000 involving duty and taxes Rs5,08,000 from an illegal warehouse during action near Jhang Road Faisalabad.

Talking to Customs Today Director Chaudhary Muhammad Akram said that in pursuance of intelligence shared by Director General (DG) Shaukat Ali, the customs intelligence constituted a special team to crackdown foreign origin cigarettes and smoking flavours.

Akram said that, following the lead, the team raided a M/s Pak International Goods
Transport Agency and recovered 250 quaters of non-duty paid Milano King edition cigarettes, shish smoking flavor 1200 packets in different brands, papers for hooka 2200 pieces and arrested Muhammad Saqib residential Mehmoodabad.

The team participated in this seizure operation comprised of Intelligence Officer Mohsin Raza Shah, Mansoor Nasir, and Sepoy Liaqat ali, Shoukat Hayat, Israr Ahmed, Havaldar Muhammad Iqbal.
