LAHORE: A team of the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized a container which was loaded with goods and articles worth millions of rupees on Bund Road. The container was cleared from Karachi.
Sources told Customs Today that the goods were cleared from Karachi on wrong information and were destined to be dumped on Hall Road market of electronics goods. It was said that the customs intelligence received information that a trader of Hall Road have managed to clear goods on wrong information and mis-declaration from Karachi.
The sources said that the Hall Road trader was the owner of the container and intended to dump the goods by avoiding duty and taxes on the goods and articles. The sources said that the container was loaded with printers, laptop chargers, LCDs and other accessories worth millions of rupees. The Customs Intelligence sources said that the authorities have registered a case and started investigation.
