Customs Intelligence seizes Prado TX during action in Multan

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Range Office has impounded a smuggled Prado TX vehicle.

According to details, the customs staff took action after receiving information from an informer regarding the smuggled vehicle near the Multan Bypass on Khanewal Road. The registration number of the smuggled Prado TX was BF-1718 of year 2004.

The vehicle was owner by Jahangeer, son of Noor Muhammad, a resident of Sarryab Road Quetta. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation deployed staff after receiving information about the said vehicle. According to the field staff, the documents that the owner presented to the Customs Intelligence and Investigation were forged.

The Customs Intelligence officials seized the vehicle on grounds that the said vehicle was not verified through the Motor Registration Authority.

Superintendent Fareeduddin Masood, Intelligence Officer Amjad Pervaiz and Hafiz Younas participated in the action against the seized vehicle.

The net value of the seized Prado TX has been assessed at Rs 3 million by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation, and it involved customs duty to the tune of Rs 1.9 million.
