LAHORE: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) team has seized Indian cloth worth Rs 20 million from a godown located in Gulbahar Colony.
Sources informed Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence Saud Imran received secret information about the smuggled cloth. He formed a team which raided the godown and seized 175000 meters of the cloth. The godown belongs to a trader Nauman of Azam Cloth Market.
The team that operated against the accused smugglers consisted of Superintendent Malik Yasin and others, including Malik Amjad, Sohail Murtza and Hamid Babar. The sources said that the investigations are underway and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused persons.
