Customs Intelligence seizes goods, vehicles worth Rs 790m

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence Anti-Smuggling Directorate sized goods, articles and vehicles worth Rs 790 million during July-April 2015-16.

According to details, the directorate seized 31 vehicle including luxury cars worth Rs 63,400,000 involving duty and taxes worth Rs 97,120,408.

The collectorate seized cloth worth Rs 10,884,446 involving duty and taxes Rs 5,749,031 while Rs 14,879,500 tyres and tubes were seized involving duty and taxes Rs 8,993,676.

The collectorate seized tea worth Rs 214,00 involving duty and taxes Rs 143,321 while auto spare parts worth Rs 19,496,800 , involving duty and taxes Rs 13,731,708.

Similarly, the directorate anti-smuggling team seized Rs 43,200 mobil oli involving duty and taxes Rs 25,066 and Rs 5,000,000 grease involving duty and taxes Rs 3,158,125.

The directorate seized Rs56,326,500 smuggled cigarettes involving duty and taxes Rs310,953, 964 and Rs 6,495,000 electronic goods involving duty and taxes Rs 3,783,259.

The collectorate also seized Rs 613,993,414 miscellaneous goods and articles involving duty and taxes Rs 136,071,520.
