Customs Intelligence seizes vehicles & goods worth Rs.25m in December

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized vehicles and various goods of worth Rs25 million during the month of December 2017-18.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation carried out their anti-smuggling operations in the jurisdiction to restrain movement of non-customs paid vehicles and goods .Field Intelligence Unit of customs carried out several actions in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sadiqabad on the basis of credible information regarding smuggled goods and vehicles.

Customs Intelligence teams detected 10 various seizure cases of non-customs paid vehicles and goods during anti-smuggling drive in the month of December in region. Customs Intelligence impounded eight various foreign vehicles in their crackdown against smuggled vehicles during December. Majority of seizure cases were detected by Field Intelligence Unit of Sadiqabad in the course of their actions.

Sadiqabad Region formed eight various seizure cases of worth Rs19.50 million during their actions in December. Field Intelligence of Sadiqabad impounded Toyota Premio X, Hino Ranger truck, Toyota Vitz and others in their action.

Foreign Origin Nissan Truck along with accessories were also seized by Customs Intelligence teams. Customs Intelligence has also formed two various seizure cases in the Dera Ghazi Khan region during their action. Customs Intelligence staff has not formed any seizure case in the month of December.

However, Customs Intelligence and Investigation has enriched guarding of the smuggled goods and vehicles in the Jurisdiction to curb any sort of smuggling.
