Customs intelligence to produce Aqil Khan before court today

LAHORE: The Prosecution and Investigation team of Customs Intelligence will present an accused Aqil Khan before the Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Wednesday (today).

Sources told Customs Today that a team of Customs intelligence seized non-customs paid items worth millions of rupees and arrested the suspect identified as Aqil Khan.

Official sources said that on the information of Director Saud Imran Ahmad, the directorate anti-smuggling team intercepted a truck loaded with smuggled goods, including heavy bikes and tyres, welding rods, cloth and soap.

Accused was supposed to be presented before the court on Tuesday but due to some reasons he was not produced. Now he is expected to produce in the court on Wednesday for physical remand for further investigations.
