ISLAMABAD: Customs Islamabad authorities during anti-smuggling campaign recovered smuggled items worth Rs 23.282 millions during the month of December, 2015.
Sources told Customs Today that Collector Zeba Hai Akhtar, Additional Collector Abdul Waheed Marwat hailed the performance of anti-smuggling staff of the department. Sources said that customs staff seized foreign origin cloth worth Rs 23,50,853/-, crockery amounting to Rs 3,40,536/-, black tea worth Rs 31,00, allay rim amounting to Rs 118818/- tyres Rs 1,39,440/-, blankets value Rs 90,23,461/.
Sources said that anti smuggling squad also impounds 157 vehicles which were being used for smuggling. The net amount of all the seized goods are Rs 23.282 millions.
