KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) has foiled an attempt to smuggle cocaine into the country. The market value of the seized narcotics is Rs47 million.
Sources said thats, one Uganda national woman who were identified as Christine Nelubega arrived in Pakistan from Dubai via Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-214.
Customs JIAP Superintendent Jamal Zia intercepted the said person on suspicion. A thorough examination of her baggage and personal search was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Collector Abeer Javed. The examination led to recovery of 1.9 kilogram of cocaine, which had been tactfully concealed in secret parts of her bag. A case has been lodged and investigation is underway till the filing of this report.
