The seizure was the result of heightened vigilance by the customs staff, acting on the directions of Collector JIAP Shafique Ahmed Latki. The parcel, originating from Canada and destined for a local shop in Malir Cantonment, was flagged during routine scanning procedures.

Following the positive identification of MDMA by an authorized laboratory, an FIR has been filed, marking the start of an extensive search for the accused who was later identified as Saeed Ahmed, and his network of facilitators.

Sources said that this successful operation underscores the relentless efforts of Pakistan’s customs  to curb drug smuggling.
